Education Is Key

I've been away for a while but I'm back in action. Here's a new poem I wrote this morning to get me back into the groove. Enjoy!

I don’t like school. It’s not for me.

I like rough streets and poverty.

As I sit and watch my brothers die

in my silence, I fail to rise.

But I don’t care because it is not my place,

No one cares if I stop the race.

I can stop half way and say it’s too hard,

Without ever even trying I can kill my people.

The words I spout, show ignorance, half empty signs of bliss,

And even in a no talk, posture only event you can see this.

You can see my hatred for myself; you can feel my self esteem fading

As I keep degrading myself in my music, in my actions, in the raising of my children.  

Head hung low, hoodie on my head, spending most of my time in bed.

Or on the corner where my real friends are…they have my back but not my head.

Encouraging me to leave the loving embrace of a mother, the guidance of a God and the presence of structure, I am led by what I see but never stop once to THINK.

Money and power are all I want but the road’s too long to go the right way so I’ll make a short cut and end up farther away.

I live a lavish lifestyle, I want a big house with many rooms, all my friends can live with me….the one’s from my corner and the next.

Most of the time these wishes come true too….I take the shortcut like those before me and wind up far away, in a big house with many rooms and all my friends are there, from this corner and the next

But unfortunately this house is called Jail.

As I pass through the doors it all comes rushing back.

The times I sat and thought I was in lack but was actually wealthy. Had an opportunity to use this gift, this talent that could heal the world and bring my brothers back from the pits.

Each time I let out a word it could’ve been worth more than spit, what my mother said was right. Education is the key, but if you never finish the race you’ll never get to the door that the key unlocks.

Many apologies to my loyal followers. I haven't written anything in a while. I will be working at the Morgan State Estuarine Research Center all summer so I won't have time to write much not pertaining to my research. I pray that you all enjoy your summer and have lots of tasty treats and grand memories stocked up for when school rolls back around.

THE END OF THE WORLD.....On Saturday? Not Likely

Here we go again, more deranged people on the cusp of pure insanity coming up from their permanent posts in the New York Subway System to share their beliefs on the news. I just don't understand why these people can't take a seat and stop acting like they know when the end of the world is. They claim to be Christians but if they were truly Christians they would certainly know the scriptures Matthew 24:36, Mark 13:32, and Acts 1:7 all which state that NO MAN (or woman) knows the day, time, or even the year that The Lord will return and the earth as we know it will be no more. 


It is very unfortunate that most people are so out of touch with their own religious beliefs that anyone could tell them anything and they'd follow along like a donkey to a carrot on a stick. THE WORLD IS NOT ENDING SATURDAY!! Stop believing these crazy folk! There is no reason this particular branch of "Christians" should be taken seriously anyway because their leader Harold Camping is a nut job. He predicted this date and time on Saturday but I wonder if any of his idiot follower understand that he said the same thing would happen in 1994. Clearly that did not come to pass so why the heck are they still following him? I haven't the slightest clue. 


If you are really that concerned about the world ending maybe that means you need to do something to get your life in order. If you are doing wrong and making poor life decisions fix them, reconcile yourself with God, and make amends with people you've hurt. The when the time does actually come, you'll be ready. HATE CRIME?

Well it's been a while guys, I've been buckling down on the books and taking finals like crazy. I've got two more to go but something caught my attention in the news yesterday and I just had to write about it and ask your thoughts on the situation.


McDonald's may be facing a lawsuit from a young Baltimore native named Chrissy Lee Polis after she was brutally beaten to the point she had a seizure and was pretty much left to fend for herself in a Baltimore McDonald's a short while ago.  While being filmed by one of the employees of McDonald's (now an ex employee of course) the watcher of the video embarks on a journey. What starts out as normal garbage you may see in the streets of any neighborhood when girls get upset with each other quickly turns into an awful showcase of skills one would only deem appropriate in a WWE no way out cage match.


 Stomping, punching, hair pulling and lots of profanity all thrown at Chrissy because she spoke to Teonna Brown's (one of the attackers) man. The only person in the entire place that attempted to stop the fight was a woman who looks upwards of sixty and    as was expected also received some backlash by these awful animals? "people" with no home training. We later learn that one of the attackers was 14 and the other 18 year old Teonna, who seems to have a history with fighting and being arrested at McDonald's.....the same McDonald's to be exact. 


As unfortunate as this story is another wrench was thrown into the mix because the two attackers are being charged with a hate crime. Now as much as I like to see justice served, I just don't see how this is a hate crime. Yes Chrissy is Caucasian, yes Chrissy is also transgender, but where in the three minutes of fighting and yelling do we hear any racial epithets or derogatory terms related to gender being thrown around? I didn't hear any at all. 


If we are all supposed to be treated as equals no matter what our skin color, gender identity, or sexual preference then why is this being called a hate crime and not just HOT GHETTO MESS that needs to be treated as such? I would appreciate if someone could explain this to me because I'm very perplexed at the moment. Hopefully someone will counsel both Teonna and the 14 year old because there are clearly some issues as far as mental stability being aroused here, beating anyone into a seizure  for speaking to someone is mortifyingly (yes I made that word up) ridiculous.

Cracker Jack and Acting Black... (a tribute to yesterday's conversation)

       Yesterday I was fortunate enough to go to take part in a conversation at Morgan State University that many black people choose not to have. Either because of the heaviness of the topic or ignorance of it's existence (to some extent). The discussion, held in one of the lesser used buildings on campus, was entitled "Meet the Oreo". The only reason I was intrigued is because I have been called an Oreo multiple times in my life, and much to my dismay the word as well as it's negative connotations don't seem to be going anywhere any time soon. Armed with my comfort team, Patrick Sweet and Isis Tutman I braved the conversation and even put forth my own opinion when necessary.


        Here are a few things I wanted to make clear to people. Having darker skin does not make you inferior, dumber, poorer, ghettoer, or sneakier than the next guy, however, it also does not make you better than anyone either. We as a race (THE HUMAN RACE) need to get over skin color as a defining factor in our day to day living. Dating, hanging out, school choices, neighborhood choices, television channels, and radio stations have all become ways to separate ourselves from each other. We all breathe the same air, eat the same foods, need the same nutrients, and pump the same blood through our bodies, which as far as I'm concerned, makes us all equal. We ought not teach our children labels and instill them with garbage or the cycle of ignorance WILL continue.


   We are the ones who have the opportunity at this present time, as the next generation to take over, to wipe the slate clean and start fresh. We have to be bigger than black, white, yellow, red and everything in between or we'll never move forward, and the unfortunate events of the past are doomed to repeat themselves. When we go out into our communities, we need to make meaningful change, we need to stop letting the media turn our tapestry of textures into a joke. We should not allow ourselves to be relegated to stereotypes, because when we allow one person to be brought down, it is not just at their expense, it's at ours also.

Vladimir Celestin (Vlah-duh-meer Sa-les-tin) *FRENCH ACCENT???*

            Well I certainly had fun this weekend at the National Conservation Training Center, taking pictures, learning new things, and catching frogs at twilight hours. Lots of great food, lots of cool people, but one weird guy...ahaha....yeah Vlad I'm talking bought you kid.  I've known him for  a couple months now but never in my wildest imagination would I have thought that he has an alter ego....a alter creole ego... accent and all. I of course planned to come in, have normal fun, talk to people as myself, and maybe even make a friend or two but my goodness not with a lie lol.


           As the people began to arrive out came this half African sounding, half French sounding accent, and in between being with the crowds of adoring fans who had questions galore for the new Frenchman, plenty of slip ups. Lots of inny-outy-half crazy-non funny stories told in half accent to appease the haha needs of the others. To my surprise he actually kept the act going, and even as I sit here staring at his lying face chewing on a dirty piece of grass from the semi polluted wilderness trail I half to laugh. Truly a hilarious adventure which is sure to have way more repercussions when people try to catch up with him. When maybe people want to I don't know...TALK to him later down the line. We'll see how it turns out but for now he'll just be the butt of lots and lots of jokes for weeks...hell maybe even months to come.

J. CREW, Mommies, and Boys with Pink Nail Polish

Once again Yahoo has sent my alarm bells ringing this morning. It featured an article about an ad showing J.Crew president and creative director Jenna spending a day with her son Beckett who just happens to like pink (my fav. color so he's already alright in my book). Unfortunately the article wasn't about anything happy, it talked about criticism from Fox "News" (why are we still taking them seriously?) and some woman named Erin Brown(never heard of her or the Media Research Center even though they claim to be "America's Media Watchdog") about how the ad was some sort of liberal propaganda about transgendered identity.

HERE WE GO AGAIN! I take offense to this garbage first from the horses mouths and secondly from Yahoo, I didn't want to check my email and feel like I was getting gut checked by a rugby player. This little boy looks to be about four or five years old so first of all, as I stated in an earlier post about the "Princess Boy", children this young don't know if they are boys, girls, cucumbers, or rocks, they know nothing about sexual preferences, and I know that most of them can't even pronounce TRANSGENDERED.


This little boy is spending time with his mommy, getting his nails painted, and they look like they're having a blast. Now thanks to some nimrods who have nothing better to do, he will hear about these comments long after the age of five. I don't quite understand what makes grown people (who I'm guessing were raised by someone) target an ad that was actually wholesome, yet allow millions of Americans be bombarded by the soft porn covers of Maxim, Playboy, et. al. while they keep on rollin in the dough. All of these people (I'm sure) at one point or another whether male or female, worn their mom's heels, their dad's tie, or tried on some lipstick (or fingernail polish) for the fun of it.


 Just because someone is famous doesn't mean they don't have feelings, doesn't mean they don't  care about their children, and believe it or not everything is NOT about politics. It's sad that the people who need to hear this won't and if they do won't be receptive to it because they're so wrapped up in themselves to see how THEY are the ones hurting America, by causing separation instead of unification. No matter what someone else believes is right or wrong as a parent, at the end of the day, their opinion is all that matters. I support little Beckett and his mom Jenna and hope that none of this goes any further than it actually has to and I'll continue to buy and wear my pink nail polish in solidarity :)

Delicious People, Deceptive Minds, and Dangerous Choices

Mmmmmmm.....We all have a couple of people in our circles that conjure up visions of chocolaty, caramel, whip cream topped bliss even though they shouldn't...because they're people lol. While certain people can simply be enticing by nature and not even know they exude deliciousness it is important to be forewarned of those who KNOW their state of deliciousness.


There are many people that are really ignorant of the way they appeal to others. They go about their day like the rest of us, sometimes happy, sometimes with a feeling of defeat, but at the end of the day feeling normal and wanting to somehow change that in the future. These people can be fun to be around, but then they also have their days that make you (as a friend, significant other, associate) want to learn how to build a guillotine just to watch their head roll....or maybe that's just me...but that's besides the point. Even when they are annoying they still somehow attract you to them which has a 50% chance of being a suckish relationship but if you work it right there's also a 50% chance of it being a pretty freakin awesome relationship.


HOWEVER


There are those who, as I stated before, know what they look like. This could quite possibly be because of an increase in reflective materials in their homes as a child or thirsty folk blowin their heads outta proportion later in life. These people are DANGEROUS. They are always on the prowl, have crazy mind game tricks up their sleeves, and they don't play fair. Sure you can pretend to ignore them, but unfortunately like a raccoon to your full and perfectly tied trash bag, attraction is inevitable. If you're strong you don't have to stop talking to the person, you must simply learn the art of saying no. Stay within your boundaries and make your body succumb to a state of normalcy and not to some over sexual, tripped out, lust factory. For those of you who are weak (you are reading this, no one else knows you're reading this, but you know I'm talkin to you) get outta dodge NOW! Don't wait for your body to become your lord, take control while you still can. Maybe you can't handle being at his house, or the movies, or his really psychedelic van with the cool colored carpet in the back lest you make foolish mistakes and "forget" your morals. It's ok. Lots of people can't handle being around delicious folk. BUT If you still want to hang out stay in brightly lit spaces, around at least two other people, or in public (still bright) areas. The brightness will remind you to keep yourself out of the lust bucket and other people will make you self conscious so you don't suddenly become a skank.


Don't fall into the trap, stay focused, and you'll be happier in the long run.

Lead Codices Found....Christianity's Claims Could be Proven!!! QUE???!!! LET THE ZEALOTS RISE!

       Alright so yesterday I stumbled upon an article that says 20 or more lead codices were found in Jordan about five years ago and they could hold the answers to Jesus's last days on earth. The claim is that the codices are over 2,000 years old and if proven to be authentic then Christians could finally be happy because they have proof. I won't name the article lest I be sued, but saying such things are seriously ridiculous. Anyone who knows anything about faith should understand that Christians don't need proof to have faith, that defeats the whole purpose of belief (eg. I don't need to believe flowers are real, they are real because I can see them). Aside from reading the article I also like to read the comments section because it proves to me that mankind is vastly immature along with the fact that religious zealot  vs. non religious zealot arguments tickle me.


          I'm not quite sure why people decide to comment on every article that makes mention of a religion or of a religious find just to argue, do these people have lives, are they secure in their own beliefs (or lack thereof, which is technically a belief in and of itself), and do they honestly think that putting people down for any reason makes them look intelligent? I am a Christian, yes, many of you know that by now but I respect all beliefs. If you're an atheist that's your CHOICE, if you're a Christian that's your CHOICE. Having anger fueled, full fledged, and threatening arguments is not cool AT ALL. If you want to debate, join a debate team, look up mock trials in your area, let it out somewhere else but please leave your ignorance by the wayside when you do. When it all boils down you have not proven anything, you can't say what happened because you were not alive, you can't deny miracles simply because you haven't seen them, and you can't prove to an unbeliever that God is real. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion and no one will know who's right until the end, so get over yourselves and stop fighting for no reason. Thanks :)

CHRIS BROWN...SOMEBODY GIVE THAT MAN A PACIFIER!

      I like many young women remember the beginning of Chris Brown...his lullaby like voice, his cute but messed up teeth, and the beautiful curvature of that body whoops ummm....face of his. I had his songs, posters, paid my money to see him live and kept close tabs on the brother. Unfortunately in keeping close tabs I think by now we've all realized he has some serious issues....(glad I didn't send that marriage proposal lol) His abusive nature and his serious anger problems are constantly keeping the media on and poppin while we watch to see how long he can run it from the law. It's been two years since his break out role on TMZ in the smash hit called Rihanna's Face and now as of two days ago yet another smash hit called Window of GMA: A Time's Sqaure Event.


        I was under the impression that he had sought out counseling and had resolved his issues but of course Hollywood isn't the best place to stay if that's to happen. People will always (as my best friend pointed out to me yesterday) relate Chris with the events surrounding Rihanna, just like they'll always relate Whitney to the cocaine surrounding her nose....I mean the events surrounding her cocaine use lol. I hope and pray that that man gets help because he is so talented and completely beautiful on the outside, but with a messed up inside he isn't worth very much. When he returns a new man we'll be runnin from Wall to Wall because there's never a right time to Say Goodbye to one of our favorite artists. and though we'll never be able to take him down for a quick Kiss Kiss he'll Forever Crawl into our memories until the Psychiatrist says "I can transform ya" in autotune and he's the old Chris we first knew and loved. Even if he was just a pissy boy from Tappahannock...DEUCES :)

****SPOILER****PRETTY LITTLE LIARS SEASON FINALE

Ok so PLL is getting intense...week after week I watch the show and hope that something new will perk my interest and it never fails... a few questions after watching the finale...
1. Is Ian really dead?- I sure hope so because he was rude, obnoxious, and totally wrong for everything he's done. But that crosses him off the list of being A now doesn't it.
2. Is anyone gonna catch on to Mona and whip her behind? I seriously think she needs to be taught a lesson, she has no right interfering in other people's business especially not their love affairs.
3. Lucas to the rescue? I know the dude is in love with Hanna but he can't be that nice, we'll see what happens next season for sure (I wasn't even aware Lucas knew Caleb like that)
4. Melissa better lose that baby! sorry that's not  a question but it's def for her own good, and by the by there's no way that accident was an accident
5. A has to be a dude, we've seen his body frame to may times now and I def think it's that creepy dude who tried to get Ezra to give him an A, why else does he keep appearing?
6. Jenna and Garrett? what could she possibly see in him lol jk...but seriously why are they together and why is Garrett such a loser!?
7. Will Aria and Ezra's relationship survive after he moves to Hollis? there's no way that can turn out well with his EX FIANCÉE being there!

Tsunamis, Asians, Telephones, and BOTTLED BLONDE BIMBOS...

So over the weekend my friend (J.H.Y) posted a video on my Facebook page that I found disgusting for multiple reasons. I have always been a proponent of free speech, I accept people for their beliefs, their way of life, and I try not to comment on the things stupid people say, HOWEVER, today I must make an exception. Alexandra Wallace a young political science major at UCLA posted a video rant on Asians in the library, when her actual point, one that is much broader and way less racist was that folks shouldn't be talking loudly on the phone in the library. While I certainly agree that students should respect quiet study spaces, I DO NOT AGREE with the foolish and disrespectful manner in which Ms.(she doesn't deserve a title here we'll just call her wally) Wallace presented herself in her video.


       In one fell swoop she went from identifying with just about every student who's ever sat in a library to identifying with a significantly smaller group of people who spread hate like gooseberry jam on a morning croissant. First she identifies herself as an "AMERICAN".....what's that supposed to mean? People can be American and not be white honey get over yourself. She says her mama raised her to not be rude....did she hear herself..that was plenty rude ma'am. Wally then goes on to say that Asian people always have there family over on the weekends to cook, clean, and do other chores for their children because they don't  know how to do it themselves...I'm sure that was just jealousy first off and secondly she probably doesn't do much herself except buy blonde hair dye and waste her money on color coordinated push up bras...  She then goes on to make fun of their dialect and language with a very well thought out  terribly executed disaster of an accented sentence ching chong ling long ting tong....really do all their words rhyme like that? Finally she hits a home run when she says their probably all checking n family from "that tsunami thing" ...as if 1. A tsunami is not a disaster that claims lives and family should not be checked on and more disturbingly 2. she thinks ALL ASIAN PEOPLE ARE FROM JAPAN.... YIKES!! how did this girl even get into college thinking like this. There is no way that anyone in there right frame of mind would want to penalize people for coming here to better themselves and move away from the negativity in their own countries. For many people it is not easy to pass the citizenship test  (http://www.freeuscitizenshiptest.com/us-citizenship-sample-test.html) More than half on Americans born and bred in the country couldn't answer some of these questions and quite frankly many other people (if we're basing things off of what's right and what's wrong) don't belong here themselves. There were inhabitants of this great land before 1493 when Columbus stole all he could see, they had homes, families, medicines, entertainment, and a way to live in HARMONY with the earth. The people who came here were the real barbarians...they didn't know how to clean themselves properly, they didn't know how to use the earth to grow crops, they didn't know anything about spices, and they killed for sport and wasted what was given to them. These people have long sense died after killing large populations of people with their diseases and bringing hoards of rats across the oceans to places that had never seen such vile creatures but there descendants still live here claiming they are the true Americans. Who the hell do you think you are? How can you move onto a land that is not yours, kill off the natives (or round them up and put them on reservations), steal people from another country bring them here forcibly and have them physically enslaved for hundreds of years then mentally enslaved for hundreds more,  take out a sheet of paper write some raggedy rules on it sign it call it THE LAW. Then when somebody else comes along and uses your same tactics your stupid great great great great grandkids who apparently don't know the difference between a Nazi soldier and a union soldier come into power with the same raggedy piece of paper and act like they're so appalled by the behavior of the people trying to come here. These people are doing the dirtiest stankiest jobs for the smallest amount of pay...money you would pee on if it was on the floor of the bathroom stall you were in. They raise they're children to do better, get good educations so they can go back and help their friends and family get out of misery and woe TO RISE ABOVE THE FREAKIN POVERTY LINE and y'all are upset because you might have to drive your little merecedes s- class next to a man with a broken down hoopty, drivin down I-95 in an acur cuz he couldn't even afford the a to finish the word acura. If you're so concerened with illegal immigration get your lazy behind up of the couch and come clean the public toilets while on your hands and knees, come through the back door and mop my kitchen floors, work 14 hr shifts go to sleep for three then get up all over again to make 3 and 4 freakin dollars a day then complain that they're stealing from you. until then SHUT THE HELL UP!

always ready to pursue the next step she stops to compare her past with her present and realizes
its actually much better
as she moves from her small space into a more comforting place she accepts her fate
not one full of dread or hills
but full of hope and thrills and as she heads for the door
searching for more, she acknowledges the world but stays clear of its
hooks and snares
ready to reach out and grab her at any time but she knows better than to straddle the fence
in life one must decide which side is best
and though the tests may seem large, there is always something bigger, better, and happier at the end of the road if you try.

Happy Valentine's Day...I (Think) I LOVE YOU

  As men drenched in sweat run about making last minute arrangements for their partner of choice and women parade around in their sultriest clothing Valentine's Day once again comes with a sweet and still irritating hum to the ear. For people in committed relationships this is just one more day to show some love, for those who are not it's one big money spending, frosting filled orgy decked in red and sprinkled with glitter for good measure. 


   If Halloween is the one day of the year people can dress like skanks and get away with it, Valentine's Day is the one day they can dress and act like skanks and get away with it. Since there's no hallmark card for the stuff I have to say I'll address it all in this blog before my 11:00 organic chemistry class. Love is something I personally think should not be taken lightly, it should be respected and said with CAUTION. This day is not supposed to be about getting lots of notches in your belt from all the tail you snagged or about going to the club decked in red to find your soul mate, people really need to get over these wacked out holidays that only seek to get deeper and deeper into our pockets. Commercialized, prepackaged love is not love it's love and lies illegitimate baby. If I really love you I won't wait for the world to tell me to tell you, I'll do it everyday of every month of every year! 


   It disgusts me that so many people decide to find someone on this day for nothing more than cheap thrills and while high on hormones will decide to give their bodies to complete strangers who look great tonight but will look much worse in the morning. Relationships are about more than sex and all it's divergent cousins, it's about showing someone you care for them in every way possible above and beyond the penis and vagina. Intelligence, kindness, and compatibility in likes and lifestyle are things that make up relationships and in the end sex is just supposed to be a pleasant bonus. In all reality no one wants to spend the rest of their life with a whore (male or female), I wouldn't want to share a plate with more than one person so sharing an intimate partner is much much worse. 


Gone are the days of real courting, taking time to get to know someone, sharing likes and dislikes, having arguments that turn somehow to agreements, and going through valleys that lead to unforeseen peaks. I realize that. As much as I would like to chase down that old timey way of expressing love I can't because it's too far removed from society's psyche. I can't stop the people who consciously make decisions that hurt people, professing love to get into someone's pants for a night then leaving without a glimmer of a chance for a future, but I can continue to keep my ideals, values, and standard of living so that when true love does come, it isn't tainted by a history of valentine's delusions and open legged "mistakes". HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!

  

Whoa....JAMES ALTUCHER'S 8 ALTERNATIVES TO COLLEGE?!

College is difficult, there's lots of work, lots of crazy attitudes, and lots of arrested development issues. There are lots of people who complain about not wanting to be there and how much better it would be if they were at home but most people recognize that not going to college is not a smart thing to do. In today's economy even those with bachelor's degrees are struggling to make ends meet so those without a college degree are very far behind from the jump. One person stands in a sea of confusion and ridiculousness.....JAMES ALTUCHER. This man believes that college doesn't help young people in any way and that there are eight things that are far more important, here's the list

1.  Start a business.
2.  Work for a charity.
3.  Travel the world.
4.  Create art.
5.  Master a sport.
6.  Master a game.
7.  Write a book.
8.  Make people laugh

Yeah this list makes lots of sense! When I am down on my luck and without money I'll make people laugh...no wait...I'm not that funny. I'll travel the wor....wait can't do that without money. I'll create art...nope can't do that either paint is expensive and if you've never been in an art store then your wallet has never cried. I'll master a sport...but where will I play? at the YMCA? nope my membership will be revoke due to my lack of money because I couldn't get a job because....wait for it....I didn't go to college. I could start a business but who's to say it won't run aground due to my lack of economics, business management, and other vital skills that aren't learned on the streets. Writing a book and playing games don't guarantee money and altogether all eight of these alternatives are BALONEY!!! ABSOLUTE PURE BEEF BOLOGNA!!!    This guy has to have some type of growth in his frontal lobe or something because the stuff that is coming out of his mouth shows a lack of understanding and thought about the consequences of his actions. Our country is already full of lazy, super priviliged, undisciplined morons and this guy apparently doesn't understand that. Other countries may not have all the junk we have but they put value in the right places, education, morals, faith... all things our country is abandoning rapidly and without second thought. At some point we have to say things with conviction and own up to the consequences of our words, this guy better be ready to take the fall when America becomes a less than favorable environment for him and other people who actually went to college.  I know that I'm smarter because of all of my schooling including college and I won't let a college graduate (Altucher) stop me from getting what he has and more.

Chipotle Hires Illegals

So America has a problem with “Illegal” immigrants…I DON’T. This country was basically stolen away from Native Americans and Mexicans. Many of those lovely western states were part of Mexico so that fact that America wants to ban them from this country is laughable. If you stole my house and put a gate around it, if I had the chance to break back in unbeknownst to the offender I WOULD.  I love Chipotle, the feeling and flavor of the spicy, tender, steamy, delicious meats on top of an assortment of greens, yellows, purples, whites, and reds steeped in the savory juices the meat created. The fact that it’s called AUTHENTIC MEXICAN food should mean that AUTHENTIC MEXICANS make it. I don’t care how they got here I believe they have all the same rights we do simply because….well….they’re people too. Illegal immigrants shouldn’t try to kick other illegal immigrants out of the country, so all you folk with ancestors who helped in the slaughter and squat expeditions calm down and leave these people alone.     

Rooster Kills Man

It sucks to be a person so desperate for money and entertainment that you start cockfights but it majorly sucks for your family to have to mourn your death and be slapped in the face when they look at your obituary and see KILLED BY ROOSTER!!! Who the heck straps a knife to an angry rooster and then stands close enough long enough to get stabbed to death! What an awful story I thought when I first heard this then I came to my senses and laughed like a hungry hyena in heat. It’s not just Illegal to participate in cockfights but it’s also just morally wrong. What kind of senseless baboon does that? My condolences to the family but my goodness you have to see the Karma in that. What goes around does actually come back around I guess and this guy must have really been sending it around cuz he’s gone now.  

Supergran 

The elderly ought to be revered in every culture not just the cultures in the days of old. We live in a country where our elderly people are abused, forgotten, and locked away in nursing homes where they don’t get nursed and look more like hospitals than homes. It was great to see a headlining story that involved not just an elderly person (70 years to be exact) but an elderly English woman! MY FAVORITE! Lol if you watch the video you see burglars breaking into a watch store attempting to steal watches when out of nowhere appears a woman named who newscasters have affectionately named SUPERGRAN. This awesome woman ran across the street wielding  her hadbag of fury and beat the snot out of these crackpots….who steals watches? Who even wears them anymore….and seriously who would steal watches in broad daylight on a busy street!? WHAT IDIOTS! When asked what the woman wanted in return for her foiling the idots plot all she said was a cup of tea…TEA!!! HOW AWESOME IS THIS LADY! It made me wanna go get some tea myself…maybe some Twinings English Breakfast Tea to be exact and nestle down into a cozy couch near a fireplace while wearing a huge flowery hat while shouting what one commenter was listed as saying online “RIGHT ON YA SUPERGRAN!”  

Religion Bashing...

What runs though the mind of a religion basher? seriously like I really want to know. There are so many people who have felt hurt, lost, sad, and misguided and turned to God to help them through the tough times. This is a free country and we are allowed to believe whatever we want to believe, however, some people think freedom of speech is only for the non religious. Why can average joe talk about having five sex partners in rotation that know nothing about each other (a most likely not that much about him)  and get awards and accolades galore but as soon as somebody speaks out against those things and says it's wrong to cheat, to run around with your legs open and available for the next thing swinging they get ostracized, threatened, and sometimes attacked? If You can believe what you're saying is right....why can't I? I am a Christian, I know what I believe, I go to church, I pay tithes, I participate in church activities but I also have friends who choose to believe various things. The reason why we can get along is because we respect each others belief systems. I hear so many people say church is a waste of time (but have never been to one), tithes/offerings  are worthless (you pay to use schools, clubs, and other venues but expect the church to be free? the bills need to be paid there too), why do you believe in God He's not real................. alright lets talk about that last one. 1. I can't prove that my God is real, that's why I have faith and believe, if He were tangible then I wouldn't need to believe in Him I would just follow 2. What;s your reason for not believing? so many people ask me why I believe ,I answer, then I ask them why they don't believe and there's no response. Why is that ok? why can you criticize people for their beliefs and call them irrational because they don't have proof of a valid reason when you don't have a valid reason for not believing either. I would love to see a world where people try to understand that there is not always a reason for everything, the unexplainable happens everyday and just because you don't understand something doesn't make it wrong. On a final note for those who don't go to church because the church is "full of hypocrites" so is the club, the market, the mall, school, the beach etc.... if you don't let hypocrites stop you from going there why leave church because of hypocrites. For those who don't go because they didn't like the one there mom dragged them to...try another...all churches are NOT the same, preaching styles, people's attitudes,and congregation dynamics change from place to place. For those with big mouths who like to talk about churches they hear about on tv...wait until your homeboy Gerald from up th street gets blamed for a murder and you know he was sittin in your basement playing games at the time and it winds up on the news I'm sure you'll find reasons to discredit them. NEWS FLASH:The news lies...A LOT... and stories get drawn however they want them to be drawn. MAKE YOUR OWN DECISIONS, STOP RELIGION BASHING, AND PLEASE RETURN TO CIVILIZATION!!

OHIO MOM IN JAIL FOR SENDING HER DAUGHTERS TO..........A BETTER SCHOOL!

This is absolute and complete malarkey! First why does anybody have the right to tell you where you can send your children to school? It makes sense for a parent to care about the well being of their child and have them go to a place where they can get a good education, so why punish a woman for doing just that? There are many districts right here in my hometown of Baltimore that can only be described as cream of the CRAP overcrowded, underfunded, and full of teachers who just don't giving a flying fart in space about the students...and just a few short blocks away are schools with plenty of empty seats, awesome teachers, and plenty of money to use for books, activities, and maybe even some left over to paste onto the walls for decoration. There needs to be a way for children who live in poor neighborhoods to get good educations so they won't remain in poor neighborhoods. The reason for putting this Ohio woman in jail was because she wasn't getting taxed the right amount for the school? was her father being taxed enough because that's the address she used. Sure she may not have lived there but who doesn't know at least one person who's done this to right a wrong the justice system continues to ignore? What kind of school hires private investigators to follow a parent because they suspect she doesn't live in the district? They clearly have money to throw around so they need to stop with the games and own up to just being prejudiced, a classic case of NOCD. and secondly....she going to lose her job and her ability to become a teacher because she sent her daughters to a good school? WTH....does this honestly make sense to anyone? There are ways to tell people discreetly not to do certain things but putting a woman in jail and jeopardizing her career because she now has this so called felony on her record is absurd and disgusting. I hope the people who make these decisions in any state pray long and hard about how they ruin lives and break families apart because they want to segregate the poor from everyone else.

SNOW?

There have been a lot of issues with the weather lately. Snow in southern states that rarely see it, enormous amounts of rain falling in states that are usually all sun and smiles, and summers hotter than the devil's urine... in separate and unexplained events 200 cows in Wisconsin, thousands of fish and birds in Arkansas and 40000 crabs on the beaches of England all showed up and continue to show up dead leaving scientists baffled and people frightened. A sign of the times they say, the end is near others say, well you know what I say?...STOP POLLUTING THE EARTH. We humans think everything is about us, we own so much property and we have rationale so that makes us superior right?...Of course not. The land that was passed down from generation to generation by our forefathers did not belong to them is was loaned to them so they would have a place to lay their heads, grow crops, and raise their young. Most animals survive because they have learned the balance of nature and that in the balance of life sometimes the hunter is also the hunted. They know that all one needs to survive is food, water, a warm place to sleep in the cold months and a cool place to sleep in the hot months, they kill only what they need to survive and what they do not need anymore can be used by other creatures either for feeding or building purposes. Humans unfortunately have become so sophisticated that they can't survive a couple weeks without a cell phone or a computer screen. We have grown so large that we don't even stop to think about how our actions are depleting our resources and killing the diverse population of non-human inhabitants of this planet. While it is in fact normal to have a cycle of life and death our inferior mindset paired with our superior brains has caused great irreparable and immeasurable loss. We can't bring a creature back from extinction, we can't close the hole in the ozone, we can't purify the world's water supply with a couple white tablets and some miracle spray....we need to start thinking before we act to prevent having to use science to fix what God created. Man did not create this earth but he is steadily destroying it and I hope for all of our sakes even if you don't care about the other inhabitants to think about yourself the next time you throw garbage on the ground, because it may bring us one step closer to what the old folk in the New York Subway stations call THE END.

Welcome to all my new followers, I am very excited to be starting a new year with you all. I hope that you will take this opportunity to read some of my old material make comments and let me know what you want to see in the future. Hope You enjoy this latest piece on Ted Williams...


It is a great day when this country can acknowledge the hidden talents of those who may otherwise be ignored but it's a mixed bag when the acknowledgement turns into abuse. Most common folk can't deal with all the pressures that normal life brings...and if their lives are less than normal because of their circumstances then it makes it that much harder to adapt to added pressure.


Taking Ted Williams off the street and allowing him to live his deferred dream is awesome...allowing him to do it at the scrutiny of millions....not so awesome. Drugs and alcohol have plagued this mans life and turned him away from the dream he had so long ago and it is a good thing that he has now been put into rehab but why did it take so long?


We've been hearing about this man for weeks...we've watched him on cnn...heard his voice and watched his hilarious facial expressions...he has been iinterviewed by Dr. Phil, he's all over youtube, and people everywhere now not only know about his addiction issues they now also know about his familial problems. Does it make sense to instigate fights on televised programs for ratings? to tell the world about his internal conflicts? or exploit a man who until recently has had no real job or connections and thus no idea how to handle all this new found fame?


I don't think so...I believe that it is sad and disgusting that our country thrives off of other people's problems. We find the vulnerable people the ones with eight children and no money, the ones with big boobs and low self esteem, the homeless men on the corner asking for a dollar who turn out to have a Golden Voice that we can use to make money ourselves. It is definitely too fast for this guy to be getting so much attention but hopefully he gets something out of rehab and can come out with jobs lined up and a place to live. Maybe he won't be reiintroduced to drugs to create an anna nicole/lindsay lohan type story that plagues the headlines but we can only wait and see as his story unfolds because we all know just as easily as he was plunged into stardom he, like the octomom and jon of jon and kate, will be old news and once again a dollar short.

Tuscon Accident Gabrielle Giffords shot and ...the Beckham's are expecting a fourth child?

When I was younger I had to sit through an hour of news because the adults in my life always wanted to hear what was going on. It was so important sometimes that I even had to leave the room. As I've gotten older I have realized that the news is only good for one thing...whether or not I should put an umbrella in my purse (nowadays   I carry one anyway because even that part of the news is losing its validity). The few times I actually sit through the news I am often slapped in the face time and time again by stupidity at it's finest. alongside the top story of the hour on CNN you can often find signs of the times like this one that offended me yesterday Gabrielle Giffords Shot but expected to make recovery (YAY) while the ticker tape at the bottom of the screen flashes (this must be really important!) THE BECKHAM'S ARE EXPECTING THEIR FOURTH CHILD (WTH!!) While I understand the need to feed the immature with constant updates of celebrity play by plays there is a time and place for everything. How can I take anything you say seriously if after speaking wisdom and truth, garbage flows over the levees in your frontal lobe and exits through your lips? It is certainly not appropriate to have celebrity "news" alongside the things that actually matter...democracy is dying while we sit in the waiting rooms of life with defibrillators but no idea how to use them!!! I just finished reading an old book entitled "110 People who are Screwing up America" by Bernard Goldberg (if you haven't read it read it) and he said everything I've been saying myself for years...the world and Americans in particular are getting so stupid and so thirsty for freedom and liberalism that we are accepting everything including garbage and allowing it to infiltrate our homes, our schools, and our government and turn us into a group of rambunctious fat trigger happy nincompoops. We bred the 22 year old idiot who decided to shoot Gabby Gifford's we allowed him to post his demented videos on youtube and write his stupid comments on myspace all in the name of free speech all the while allowing him to destroy the lives of others also practicing free speech. Not only were adults attacked a nine year old girl was killed! and we are giving this loser the chance to go to trial? he needs to be behind bars for life on an island with huge rats and monster roaches...I can't stand idots...I mean it's not that hard to say how you feel, write a letter, ask some questions, but when you feel you have the right to take someone else's life then that's where something has gone awry. The news is only the beginning of the problem but that's certainly a topic for another discussion but until then  make wise decisions and make a conscious decision to return to civilization :)

****SPOILER ALERT*** BLACK SWAN

OH MY GOSH WHAT ON EARTH WAS I THINKING!!! My best friend and I decided to go out last night for the first time since the summer and enjoy a nice movie about a lovely ballerina I mean what else could it have been about based on the beautiful commercials I'd seen just a few weeks prior. I thought it'd be nice to sit down and relax at the theater...have some laughs...eat my smuggled in hamentashen in peace. I'm glad I ate it early because if I'd waited my appetite would have been gone.  To me Black Swan was an amateur horror/porno flick...Every time Natalie Portman (Nina) is on screen if we're not caught up in one of her scary delusions of blood and death everywhere we're caught up in her arrested development issues. First off why is she still living with her mother in her childhood room surrounded by all this stuff five year olds would love but any normal girl after reaching puberty would stash away in her deepest closet. The poor toys in her bedroom witness her bad habit of scratching her self and breaking skin to bring more blood to the picture and the disgusting scenes of serious "self lovin". All fingers and screams of arousal aside this girl then goes on to have a relationship with her ballet instructor...after she told him off in the beginning of the movie and bit his lip to stop him from kissing her I was rooting for her all the way, she even told Beth the "older" ballerina she's replacing that she doesn't have to be a whore to get ahead.....SIKE...she basically transforms from good girl to whore within the next ten to twenty minutes of the movie...allowing this (while attractive) still pretty old dude to put his hands all over her private squares! MY GAWD!She then proceeds to get harrassed by a 80 year old guy on the subway and pretends she was disgusted...she didn't fool me one bit! Then all her strange lesbian encounters....dreams?.....encounters?... I have no idea what really happened what was imagined what was real. and mommy dearest is just as evil as they come buying a cake she knows her bulimic daughter will regurgitate up at the next available toilet bowl and continuing the not so normal after age 6 dressing and undressing of her daughter and playing Sherlock Holmes with her body inspecting her for self inflicted scratches.  and sweet samurai warrior here comes another crazy moment when she has the fight in the dressing rooms leaving behind a puddle of blood and broken glass...we all just knew she finally killed of her nemesis Lilly with a shard of glass. a simple knock on the door blew our minds when Lilly came to Nina's dressing room to tell her she did an awesome job in the last act...wait isn't she dead??? No of course she isn't....this idiot had a fight with herself and stabbed a long piece of mirror glass into her own abdomen and she dies! but not before she gives a rockin performance and lands on her deathbed/mattress and whispers her last words....Perfect...yeah she finally reached perfection...lucky for us the screen then blanks out and it's time for the credits...leaving the audience slightly jumpy and equally as disgusted...thanx alot Black Swan...thanx alot.

Princess Boy...

I may be a little late but certainly this is still relevant. While scrolling around on the internet I stumbled upon princess boy and had two reactions:
1. HE IS SO ADORABLE
2. I can't believe these people are seriously having conversations about whether or not he'll grow up to be gay, does he have mental issues, and whether he has self esteem issues (IN FRONT OF HIM)


Young children tend to be very exploratory, Freud talks about the stages of psychosexuality and anyone who has ever baby sat or raised a child who has the ability to move without assistance knows that children get in to all types of things due to their curiosity. Children (unless someone tells them) have no idea what sexual orientation is, they don't know anything about gender roles, and most young children have no idea why people get so upset if they walk into the middle of the living room naked. This little boy is sitting through his entire interview with his red dress on flipping through this book his mother wrote to (stop bullying?) but really I think she'll do more harm than good. One commenter on the website for newsday said it right...a two year old doesn't know if he's a boy, a girl, a fruit, or a rock why would you ever think their choice of clothing means something about their sexuality? It is quite alright for people to have discussions about acceptance, love, and understanding but when it comes to a two year old boy being attracted to girl's clothing and a mom purchasing from that day forward dresses for him to wear and encouraging it at age five where he will then go on to school and be confused just leads to a lotta drama. Does this lady just love her baby alot or is she just crazy? you be the judge....

He clearly has no idea what all the fuss is about but when he gets a little older he'll know for sure. What will his wife say? his children? the guys at the country club? his soccer team? Let's stop jumping to conclusions about children who are too young to know the difference between middle and index fingers and start letting children be children...

A RIGHT TO FEEL? THE HANDS IN PANTS EPIDEMIC

I am usually pretty ok about people using all of their senses to explore the world around them. It's pretty awesome to live here on Earth and it's even awesomer when you've got an imagination. I wake up in the morning and open my eyes to survey my surroundings (sight), I kneel down and pray next to my bed (speech), I hear the incessant chirping of the birds that warn of dawn (hearing), I pick up my toothbrush (touching), and after I put toothpaste on it I begin to vigorously brush thus tasting the blood sweat and tears of countless colgate/crest/aquafresh employees (taste)... once I step outside of my doors in the morning I realize that I am no longer the only person alive, I am not the only one with eyes, and thus I am not the only one able to form an opinion about any given thing at any given time.


 The thing the bothers me about people who walk around with their hands in their pants (let's call them pantsers) seem to not be aware of anyone else but themselves. Pantsers come in all shapes, sizes, colors and unfortunately both genders (yuck) Pantsers could be related to you, they could be dating you, they could even be sitting next to you on the bus right now. Pansters could be your teachers who hand back classwork, your maids who clean your homes and worst of all they could even be the chefs in your favorite restaurants adding a little zing to your favorite meals...you know those flavors you can't quite place???....ehhh. BUT oh what joy it must be to have hands that caress you all throughout the day even in the most intimate places....NOT... what disgust I feel at looking at someone not just getting a cheap feel but getting a cheap feel from THEMSELVES!!! What kind of cave were these people born in, what kind of rock did they crawl from under, what kind of THOUGHTLESS RUFFIANS ARE THEY!....


Excuse me... we do have certain inalienable rights, "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances"...heck we can even lawfully obtain and use a gun if we wants to...but no where in the constitution does it say I can walk around all day with my hands in my pants burning the eyes of every sensible person that walks this great land from the mountains to the prairies cross the ocean white with foam! please please please have decency and keep your hands out of your pants we are after all supposed to be civilized. :)

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

A new year is upon us and I for one am very excited about all the great things in store for all of us!
Maybe just maybe we can do some positive things...I'm not one for new year's resolutions or deciding to change your whole life and ways in one fell swoop over night because THAT IS SIMPLY PREPOSTEROUS but I would totally like to see people become more active in their communities, take more time out for their children, be a little less selfish, and a little more proactive. Make strides to be better and enjoy 2011!
