It is much harder to be unique than it is to follow the crowd. My generation (90's on up) seems to think that is important to have everybody like them and to have a lot of "friends". In order to achieve these grand feats they tend to dress alike, talk alike, listen to the same music, and never think outside of the box. For years I've heard and seen people being oucast because they don't fit a mold, can't be categorized, or have what seem to be eccentric tastes. It's a shame that so many people never even try to go against the grain, but instead choose to hide their passions and talents. Some people will never learn that being a people pleaser is the cause of their issues. The more you try to please people the more they change what they want from you....you can never please everyone. It makes no sense to even attempt to please everyone or have everyone be your friend because it never ends well. you don't want to find yourself saying "Et tu Brute?!" but it's up to you....so choose your actions wisely.
I agree with this a lot. The one thing I most pride myself on is being a leader. No matter what I do I try my best to operate by example. However, I find it okay yet disgusting at the same time that people would dress alike, talk alike, and act alike just to fit in. Honestly people, is follow the crowd really the new old thing? Is my generation(90s on up) the a generation of brain dead followers? I don't know but it sure does feel that way to me.
